Presidential Disaster Declared

Several counties in and around the Des Moines area have now been declared Federal Disaster Areas eligeable for individual assistance. This means that in addition to Federal disaster resources, members may also be eligeable for assistance from the Teamster Disaster Relief Fund. If you have been affected by the recent extreme rains, please contact Matt so that he can forward the appropriate forms to you to see if you qualify for any assistance.

Flooding hits Des Moines

This week has been a difficult week for residents in the City of Des Moines and the surrounding areas. Torrential rains have caused peaceful creeks to become raging rivers. Unfortunately death and destruction are at the center of this type of flooding wherever it hits in our state, country, or world and this has been no exception to the rule

Glen-Gery Brick in Redfield Iowa has been a Teamster shop for over thirty-five years. This plant is not only a Teamster tradition, but a family tradition as well. Jed Harwood is the third generation in his family to be a Local 90 Steward at this plant
